Kentucky Route Zero is a free mobile game published by Annapurna Interactive and released for Android and iOS in partnership with Netflix. Following the story of a truck driver as he crosses Kentucky on his way to make his final delivery, Kentucky Route Zero is a point-and-click game with text-driven dialogue.
Similar in style to Disco Elysium, Kentucky Road Zero is a narrative-heavy, story-driven game that lacks traditional puzzles and challenges. Instead, you control the main character, choosing his dialogue and occasionally the dialogue of other characters.

Because Kentucky Route Zero is based on the intricacies of its plot, it’s important to understand where it picks up. The game revolves around Conway, a truck driver making his final delivery for an antiques company. Traveling along the mysterious Route Zero in Kentucky, you’ll follow him as he interacts with a series of strange and interesting characters.
Kentucky Route Zero is split into five acts to form a complete story you can experience all at once. The game is also accompanied by a haunting electronic score and bluegrass songs recorded by The Bedquilt Ramblers.
Striking visuals
Kentucky Route Zero is published by Annapurna Interactive, a division of the film production company Annapurna Pictures, in partnership with Netflix. It’s no surprise that the game draws its visual style from film and theatre with a cinematic look and feel. Playing the game feels a lot like watching a movie in this sense.
Many of the developers were also heavily influenced by directors, screenwriters, and novelists. These inspirations helped flesh out the characters and impact the final design treatment of the game, from character dialogue to lighting and movement.
A slow burn
